About Chad

My family and I have been Folsom residents for 23 years. Our first home was on Ruth Court behind St. John’s Church. We lived there for 10 years and it was the place our boys first called home. In 2013 we moved to American River Canyon South. And finally in 2016 we moved to Sutter Woods near Carl Sundahl Elementary.

For the first half of my career I was a writer covering technology in government. I wrote hundreds of articles about how state and local government can leverage technology to improve service while reducing costs. In that role I also worked with city, county and state officials to create events that showcased those solutions in action across the country.

For the past seven years I have been at Folsom-based Kiefer Consulting, where I help a team of brilliant people serve state and local government by putting those same cost-saving, service-improving technologies into place to help make government work better.

My family and the community they live in are what I love to serve most. Since moving to Folsom, I have held the following community service positions:

Outside of work and volunteering I enjoy cooking for my family, playing disc golf, or enjoying the privilege of hearing the incredible student musicians at Sutter Middle School (and FHS next year). I also (sort of) enjoy running marathons slowly and badly. You can also often find my partner Alison (who is actually good at running) and I at our favorite local haunt, Red Bus Brewing Company, at which I have had the great fortune of hosting Monday Night Trivia for the last 4.5 years.

I’m just like you - a regular person doing his best to be a good dad, a good partner and a contributing member of my community. That’s why I think it’s important that local government returns to being something we look to for stability and solutions. I believe in a City Council that serves all residents - whether they’ve lived here 5 months or 50 years.

This is a great city we live in that is full of amazing people. I would be honored to represent YOU on City Council. With trust, transparency and follow-through, we can make Folsom better, together.
